Story
The Parents
Having made their home in Criccieth for the past 25 years, living in the very building that No.46 now occupies, Alistair and Ruth Meadows brought the Coffee shop into being. Their vision was to create a welcoming, homely space, for locals and tourists alike, offering high quality home cooked food and great coffee. No.46 quickly became a favourite spot for people to meet.
The Son
Their son, Jacob left the family home at 16 to pursue a scholarship in welsh rugby. In 2014, he felt the pull to return home to Criccieth and join his parents in their vision for No.46. Jake loves to chat, greatly values community, and is eager to provide excellent service.

In 2016 Jake took over ownership of No.46, in developing the business further he has built a wonderful, dedicated team who embody the notion of family and are a credit to the coffee shop's ongoing success.
2023 saw the expansion of the family business, as Bar 51 opened on the opposite side of the street, specialising in authentic Tapas, Cocktails and fine wines.
